Deceived

 DECEIVED?

1Ti 6:1 ¶ Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and his doctrine be not blasphemed.

God is blasphemed when a servant does not count their own master worthy of all honor! To rebel against a good master is blasphemous to the Lord, as the man after God’s heart would not rebel against an evil lord!
1Sa 24:6 And he said unto his men, The LORD forbid that I should do this thing unto my master, the LORD'S anointed, to stretch forth mine hand against him, seeing he is the anointed of the LORD.

It is so blasphemous that God hates such a sower of discord among the brethren!
Pr 6:16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: 17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, 18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, 19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
Proverbs reveals the things that God hates, the proud heart filled with the subtlety of hell, God hates him in his flesh, if he is in Christ!

2Co 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
Pharisaical souls saved or lost, God knoweth! Often use subterfuge and lying to shed innocent blood, spiritually and in some extreme cases physically as was done in the Old Testament. They have a heart that deviseth wicked imaginations to do mischief contrary to the way and heart of God’s divine nature in all goodness and righteousness!

Lu 9:56 For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.

The righteousness and humility of God reveals that pardoned sinners have absolutely no right to personal retribution!

Ro 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

And absolutely never, in the false and often perceived injustice of the prideful!
Mt 20:11 And when they had received it, they murmured against the goodman of the house, 12 Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day. 13 But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny? 14 Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee. 15 Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good?

How clearly is the ungodly soul revealed in self-interest above godliness and righteousness!

1Ti 6:5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself. 6 ¶ But godliness with contentment is great gain.

Many are the delusions of injustice found in the eyes of the immature proud rebels of sin, found in there selfishly induced narcissism!
Joh 1:16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. 17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
How heinous is the cry of the justly condemned sinner, when they cry for the blood of the just!

Mt 27:24 When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it. 25 Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.

After the greatest crime in the history of mankind the true mercy of God’s grace comes shining through revealing the heart of pure Gold!
Lu 23:34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.
Which forgiveness is to be seen in his people that have received the grace and mercy of his forgiveness!

Mt 6:14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: 15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Sadly many of the Lord Saints today are not growing in the grace of God doing right for and to others desiring only their own needed grace!

Mt 18:31 So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done. 32 Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me: 33 Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee? 34 And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. 35 So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.
Cannot not we see how much more the redeemed are obliged to the humility of Godliness!

1Pe 2:18 Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward. 19 For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully. 20 For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God. 21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

A man who would serve the lord living and walking in the spirit would submit to the authority over him as the lord is the final authority!
Mt 8:9 For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.10 When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
The way of God is submission to authorities good or bad refusing to do badly! Today’s society is steeped in the subterfuge of Jezebel who in her subtlety slandered the godly Naboth!

1Ki 21:9 And she wrote in the letters, saying, Proclaim a fast, and set Naboth on high among the people: 10 And set two men, sons of Belial, before him, to bear witness against him, saying, Thou didst blaspheme God and the king. And then carry him out, and stone him, that he may die.

A rapist would have us to believe a woman’s lewd dress was the fault for his crime!  This is not the justice and righteousness of God!

Eze 18:4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

If a woman wears the attire of a harlot she defiles herself before God and men, yet her sin does not justify another to sin against her and harm her with sin!
Eze 18:20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.
David’s authority sought his life unjustly and David was a man after God’s heart when he humbled himself and would not seek revenge!

1Sa 24:4 And the men of David said unto him, Behold the day of which the LORD said unto thee, Behold, I will deliver thine enemy into thine hand, that thou mayest do to him as it shall seem good unto thee. Then David arose, and cut off the skirt of Saul's robe privily. 5 And it came to pass afterward, that David's heart smote him, because he had cut off Saul's skirt. 6 And he said unto his men, The LORD forbid that I should do this thing unto my master, the LORD'S anointed, to stretch forth mine hand against him, seeing he is the anointed of the LORD. 7 So David stayed his servants with these words, and suffered them not to rise against Saul. But Saul rose up out of the cave, and went on his way.

Notice that God was well pleased with Solomon and granted him wisdom because he did not seek the life of his enemies! We learn by example and it was through his father’s example Solomon learned well!

1Ki 3:11 And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment;
Our Saviour has four major attributes in his nature, the first is to be holy and the second harmless, third undefiled and fourth separate!

Heb 7:26 For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
Which godly holiness and harmlessness cannot be defiled because of the separation of sanctification!

Joh 17:17 ¶ Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. 18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. 19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.
So what should a saint do when under a cruel master of evil intent such as Saul who was attempting to assassinate David?

1Co 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

David left Saul in the humility and grace of God, without bringing harm or reproach to Saul in his departure, without any subtlety or subterfuge to diminish Saul in any way!
1Sa 26:8 Then said Abishai to David, God hath delivered thine enemy into thine hand this day: now therefore let me smite him, I pray thee, with the spear even to the earth at once, and I will not smite him the second time. 9 And David said to Abishai, Destroy him not: for who can stretch forth his hand against the LORD'S anointed, and be guiltless? 10 David said furthermore, As the LORD liveth, the LORD shall smite him; or his day shall come to die; or he shall descend into battle, and perish. 11 The LORD forbid that I should stretch forth mine hand against the LORD'S anointed: but, I pray thee, take thou now the spear that is at his bolster, and the cruse of water, and let us go.

Godliness would always demand for us to leave the presence of true abuse as David did without the harm of retribution to the evil of Saul!

Ro 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
Where subtlety or subterfuge seek to revenge with the deception of righteousness the judgment of God will in time reveal the ungodliness and delusion of the unjust reprisals!

Ro 13:10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

Where we know in our redemption the law cannot save us, only the grace of God found in the shed blood of Jesus Christ can save our soul!
Ga 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

The attributes of the law reveal the motion of sin that occurs within our flesh even after we have been forgiven having our past, present and future sins forgiven.

Ro 7:12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good. 13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
14 ¶ For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
The law and prophets reveals the motion of sin in our members, and as a schoolmaster leads us to Jesus Christ for our redemption and then instructs us in the godliness of Jesus Christ who fulfilled the law!

Mt 7:12 ¶ Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
Jesus Christ came to teach us, not only what we are to know and believe, (salvation) but what we are to do; (sanctification) what we are to do, not only toward God, but toward men; not only towards our fellow-disciples, those of our party and persuasion, but towards men in general, all with whom we have to do.

The meaning of this rule lies in three things.
(1.) We must do that to our neighbour which we ourselves acknowledge to be fit and reasonable: the appeal is made to our own judgment, and the discovery of our judgment is referred to that which is our own will and expectation, when it is our own case.
(2.) We must put other people upon the level with ourselves, and reckon we are as much obliged to them, as they to us. We are as much bound to the duty of justice as they, and they as much entitled to the benefit of it as we.
(3.) We must, in our dealings with men, suppose ourselves in the same particular case and circumstances with those we have to do with, and deal accordingly. If I were making such a one's bargain, labouring under such a one's infirmity and affliction, how should I desire and expect to be treated? And this is a just supposition, because we know not how soon their case may really be ours: at least we may fear, lest God by his judgments should do to us as we have done to others, if we have not done as we would be done by.

Today those who believe and teach the grace of God gives them license to sin while boasting in the liberty of Jesus Christ are certainly deceive and delusional! Where they are in Jesus Christ without fear of the law’s condemnation to eternal damnation they in their flesh are subject to loss of earthly life, limb, liberty, and eternal rewards and inheritance!

2Pe 2:18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error. 19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

And perhaps even to their own eternal damnation if they were deceived in there redemption! Only God knoweth, for of a truth, once God’s grace is given and it is received in truth, it is eternal!

Joh 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. 30 I and my Father are one.
The gifts of God are given without repentence and eternal life is a gift given unto men without repentence from the Lord!

Ro 11:29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
The lord’s liberty is from sin and the commendation of the law, it is not nor ever has been a license to sin!

Ga 5:13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
The spirit of God is a spirit of godliness and righteousness and it leads the child of God into all goodness and righteousness and truth;

1Pe 2:16 As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.

May we warn the unruly that they are in a deception of wickedness saved or lost!
Job 12:16 With him is strength and wisdom: the deceived and the deceiver are his.
Asking Christ into your heart will not do! Salvation comes through repentence toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

Ac 20:21 Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

Without repentence there cannot be a redemption!

Lu 13:2 And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things? 3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
Without a godly sorrow to repentence, the sacrifice of the cross is despised in the sorrow of the world!

2Co 7:10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

I would say repentence is best understood as a turning from the road to hell paved by our own ways to Jesus Christ and the road to heaven paved in his ways!
Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

The sinner is not saved, nor can he be saved by the things he has done, but we are redeemed by what Jesus Christ has done!
